A Night in Victoria Quarter Leeds

I was invited to a blog event at the Leeds Victoria Quarter where we had the opportunity to pay a visit to the Vivienne Westwood store, have a contour tutorial at Space NK as well as dining at Polpo in Harvey Nichols. It was also my first time meeting these lovely bunch of bloggers: Ally (Digital Diva), Sarah (Sarah x Sarah) and Remi (Remies Luxury Blog).

Vivienne Westwood was our first stop. We had a tour around the three-floored store where we were shown the current and new collection as well as an understanding of the store layout. Every piece we were shown, we were told the back story of it. Not every designer will have a back story for each collection but VW is a remarkable woman.

Stepping onto the top floor, I saw a light. A light shining on the perfect black bag with rose gold hardware (a photo below) with angels going “ahhhh”. I couldn’t stop thinking about it so I need to get my hands on it very soon. I’m also looking on the website right now and there’s more I want.

The next stop was Space NK. I haven’t been into the store since it had relocated and dayum, the room upstairs is on point. We were shown the best By Terry products, the latest as well as the upcoming releases. We each had a makeover to suit our needs and the only products used were from By Terry. Watching the makeup artist doing her magic on every blogger was insightful. Any questions we had about any of the products or makeup application was answered by the lovely Space NK girlies.

I’ve always had wondered how I should apply face makeup when I have tanned skin yet don’t want the heavy application. The makeup artist worked her magic and enhanced my tan and adding a natural glow too. She did an amazing job. The base used was Terrybly Densiliss Sun Glow which is out this month I believe? Let’s just say, this base is freaking amazing! Cooling, hydrating, natural finish and long-lasting. It covered up the redness on my nose from it being burnt. I highly recommend you get your hands on it when it’s out.

We strolled over to Polpo in Harvey Nichols with our new look. This Venetian restaurant had hit the spot. Choosing 2-3 dishes to eat was the hardest part. Everything sounded delish. After what felt like an hour deciding, I ordered the elderflower martini, prosciutto, scamorza & pickled radicchio pizzette and chickpea, spinach & ricotta meatballs. We all shared a zucchini, parmesan & basil salad between us. I need to try every dish on the menu so friends, if you’re reading this, I’m dragging you here!
