There are too many stores that are based in the US and only ship within the US. For us who are outside the US, it does suck to not be able to get my hands on many things or get overcharged if we look for them on eBay. One way we could get out hands on US only items is to either ask family, friends, relatives if they live there or are visiting. Another way is a shipping company such as GoSend to ship the items for you.

GoSend is based in the US state of Delaware where it is one of the five states that are not subjected to the American sales tax which is up to 7%. You can definitely make a good saving on this. The way they work is, when you sign up, you will receive a US shipping address where you can send all of your shopping and it will be stored in a virtual locker. Then you can get them to ship it to you all in bulk when everything has arrived.

From experience, I had used their Shop Assist service which is essentially personal shopping. It’s easy to use. All I needed to do was to enter the product URL and the information regarding it then pay GoSend to purchase the items on my behalf rather than directly to the retailer. This is a great tool as some retailers may not accept foreign cards. Once they have placed an order, and the items had arrived at the locker at the US address, I had received an email from GoSend with photos of every item I had ordered. I was able to check that the correct item was purchased as well as if there was any damage.

If you order from more than one retailer, you would be able to consolidate all of your purchases into one shipping box. This will definitely save you lots of shipping costs. GoSend has its own shipping service as giving you the option to ship with other postal services. I had used their own shipping service and it was shipped on the 10th November then had arrived on the 17th November. I still had to pay for UK duties and tax. I haven’t had any issues and their customer support is brilliant. I would highly recommend them.
