Getting Gel Nails

FIRST FOR EVERYTHING

I’m the type of person who doesn’t like anyone doing my makeup and nails, cutting and dying my hair (haven’t been to the hair dressers for over 11 years), waxing my eyebrows etc. Anything that is related to the appearance, I don’t like others meddling with it as I am fussy and I exactly know how I like everything done. If people made one small mistake on me, it will bug me. That’s why.

I’ve only visited a nail salon twice but only because a friend dragged me to it on both occasion, however I didn’t mind. I don’t really know what happens in a nail salon so I let her do all of the talking to the beauticians. We went for file and gel polish and I have been impressed with the results. I still don’t like the filing feeling as it goes through me. Each time, I’ve walked out of the salon stroking my nails, intrigued by the smoothness. With gel nails, they are instantly dried and set, ready for you to do your normal day to day activities.

It wasn’t time consuming nor was it expensive. I’ve paid between £15 and £18 on both occasions. This is considered cheap as the two places I had visited wasn’t based in or around London. “It’s much cheaper in the North” as I would say. It’s slowly becoming an addiction but not sure if it will form into one. The first gel nails I had done, it had lasted 4 weeks then I had started to peel them off one by one which isn’t good for the nail but I was bored.
