PROTEIN OAT BAR
I find it hard to get my daily protein intake but it’s always nice trying to find ways to help me get closer to my daily allowance. I do snack a lot and most of the snacks I eat doesn’t really have nutritional value to help me with my eating habits. These protein flapjacks seems like the ideal healthier alternative.
Trek protein flapjacks have 6 flavours: original oat, oat raisin, morning berry, cocoa coconut, banana break and cocoa oat. Each flavour has 9 or 10g of protein. These are delicious but there is one I’m not too very fond of. They’re not dry or oily as compared to many flapjacks out there and cure my sugar craving whilst filling me up. They go down like a treat! My favourite flavour out of the six would be the original oat. My least favourite is the cocoa coconut as I’m not a coconut fan myself.
Each bar has 9g or 10g of protein as well as 12g – 14g of sugar each which I think is not bad considering other protein bars I’ve read in-store has higher. If you are watching your sugar intake, these wouldn’t really be ideal unless you exercise it off. They are gluten and wheat free with no artificial nasties. They’re great before or after a workout. The calories of each bar are between 208 and 234 which some may find a tad high but when you know your daily intake, you’ll be able to easily add this in as a nice treat without having the cheat feeling.
I tend to have these when I’m constantly on the go with no break or for breakfast if I don’t have time. I don’t eat these everyday as it can work out to be on the expensive side. A box a month or a month and a half sounds ideal for me. You are able to buy each flavour individually or if you prefer to mix it up, this mixed case would be you best choice. In each box, you get 16 bars and they would be great in your cupboard.
Do you like flapjacks?

Mmmmmm, I love me a good flapjack! And if they're helping you get your protein intake then that's an awesome bonus! x

Oh, I have not tried one but it sounds yummy. I am wary of the calories though but this is nice to bring on a trip especially those long treks and you need something to fill you up.
Never tried this but sounds good… Probably tempting to try one now
These aren't available in India. Looks yumm though 😀
I love protein bars, but I have never tried this brand. I hope I find them here.

This would be a great source of protein. They are handy and they have different variants to choose from.
I don't think we have that here in my country but it sure does sound good. It would also come in handy when on trips. I'd like to try the Cocoa Oat.
Of all these varieties, I am most curious with the Berry. Next would be the chocolate ones. The Coconut one does not interest me too much though.
These sound great, I'm a massive Coconut fan so that one sounds especially nice to me 🙂

Like you, I’m also having a tough time completing my protein requirement for the day. Good thing there are products like Flapjacks eh?
Never tried one but looks yummy. I don't know if that brand is available here.
Protein bars are really a great snack to have for people who needs to leave home early to go to work without breakfast. Same goes for students! Instead of buying junk foods, this would be a good alternative snack to have.
Ive never come across these but I do love flapjack x
Sounds like a great option for breakfast! Thanks for sharing the variants 🙂
I love these bars but they are so costly in Singapore! I always think twice before trying to get them because sometimes I overeat!
Well I do take flapjacks when I need to train for my runs or on protein diet. Other than that i prefer to have fruits and yogurt for snacks.
These look awesome!! I wonder if we have this Manila.. They look perfect for post-workout snacks! 😀
Have never came across this.. But the chocolate one sounds lovely 🙂
First time to hear about protein flapjacks. Too curious to taste it.
Never heard of this oat bar. But would like to try if it is selling here.
Sounds great <3
My new post at http://shizasblog.blogspot.com
flapjacks are protein bars? I always thought they're referring to pancakes! and protein bars usually have high sugar levels, not the best thing to eat if we are looking to lose some weight….
I really am not a fan of junk food pretending to be health food. These look like decently yummy dessert bars.
This is very good for busy people who forgot to eat because of work load. I think aside from protein, there are also calcium mixed case products too?
These sound like really handy to have when your on the go x

The brand is not familiar to me but I'm interested to try the Cocoa Oat and Banana Bread. I don't eat protein bars often too bec of the cost.
Gosh, reading this post makes me realise that i've not had a flapjack in so so long! I've never tried these ones before, so I might give these a go! x

I'm not a fan of protein bars because they have so much sugar and not enough protein to benefit the amount of sugar they have but these look pretty good. I love flapjacks so much too
I have not tried these but would love to try oat raisin one.

it is far too easy for me to reach my protein intake because my mom would cook chicken AND fish at the same time!
