THE CAUSES
I remember reading into this a while back and it was very interesting! Recently, a colleague brought it up and we spent a good hour talking about it. I had found this face chart from Into the Gloss and thought it was surprising as to how accurate this relates to me and possibly everyone. Also I love the illustration and wanted to share it with you. I’m not going to go into the science of this.
I do get spots anywhere on my face ranging from the small to the big deep ones. Looking at this face map and thinking about my spots, I have noticed the following. Whenever I consume a lot of sugar, starchy foods or it’s the time of the month, I always break out on the chin. During my teens, puberty was the biggest factor for all the spots on my T-Zone. Now that puberty ended long ago, stress, alcohol and poor blood circulation are now the factors and I always get those painful spots peeking through in the T-Zone.
It all makes sense now!
Can you relate to this chart?

This is really helpful and I think it is true. When I have eaten more foods that contain processed sugars then I get spots on my chin :S
I used to get a lot on my cheeks, which is why I lie down on my back now!
I've seen lots of these on Pinterest, I can't relate only due to my health conditions being different from where my spots are if I was to look at it from this chart's point of view but it's still interesting though.

Thanks for the tips 🙂
Oh wow! I tend to get spots on my cheeks. I need to print out this picture and keep it with me! Thank you!
This is good, thanks for sharing this information.
While I think I'm lucky to have gotten good genes from both my parents, I find this chart informative and helpful. It still does help to eat in moderation and to have proper skincare hygiene.
I never touch my cheek unlesss when I'm washing them and I'm not using cellhpone.. lol could u believe that? but sometimes I still get spots on my cheek >.< thanks for sharing 🙂
Sometimes we just cant get ourselves not to touch our face. Awww… that's why got a lot of spots
Agree! I get those on the chin whenever menses are nearing.. Hormonal changes T.T
Touching the face with dirty hands happens more often than we think. We really have to be conscious to avoid this bad habit.
That's an informative chart.. I think a dirty pillow cover and cellphone could really cause spots & breakout. 🙁
Interesting post.

I'd read those reasons some time ago and I completely agree the reasons you'd mentioned above. Thank you for sharing x
I get it all over, which basically means I have a bit of the above stated problems. 🙁
If only I could get rid of my spots. Oil in your face really is a nuisance but then again, I have dry skin
So true! Annoying especially when you're a teenager!
I'm guilty touching my face, but I try to work on it….Thanks for sharing! x

This is indeed quite accurate since I've been having spots in my chin. I guess it's because of hormonal imbalance… it's actually my illness. Now it explains it. Been wondering for a couple of months for it. Thanks for sharing!
Why the bacteria from Cellphone? I never touched my face with it. hehe
I always wondered what can cause spots to my chin because I regularly clean my face but now I find out this is due to processing sugar cause I love eating sweets in bulk quantities lol!
The information on the cheeks was fascinating and true. I wonder how name more people get acne from endlessly putting dirty phones next to their faces.
Interesting graphic, I only ever get spots on my chin if I get them x
I can relate to some items in the chart. This could help you rid of habits that causes spots.
My oh my! This is very informative 🙂 thanks for the post!

I always get spots when I don't take off my makeup properly. Stress is also a major spot trigger for me.

Oh!~ Now that we know the cause of the spots, we can try to get rid of it.. 🙂
It does seem to make sense – I better stay away from processed sugar, my jawline is my worst area for it!
