Whistles AW14 Collection Press Day

MUTED AUTUMN WINTER

I have been contemplating as to when to post this since summer has just started. I was lucky enough to be a plus one to view the AW14 collection by Whistles a week and a half ago. This also gave me the chance to meet Jade for the first time. Bless her cotton socks for having to drive all the way to Leeds from Liverpool just to attend this. I had met up with her during my lunch break since this was a drop in event. Luckily my manager had nicely approved my “I’ll be back half an hour later than usual… if that’s ok?” shaky request since I only get an hour lunch break.

Once we had arrived at the Whistles store in Victoria Quarter, we were taken upstairs to the exclusive preview which is released in September if I remember. I must admit, I’ve never looked at Whistles for their clothing, just their bags which I still need to purchase myself but what colour and design?! We were informed about the collection and saw one wall dedicated to showing the women’s collection. I am loving the colour scheme. Muted shades where lilac is a definite catch for the season! I need some lilac in my life. We had the chance to look through the racks and even try some on!

Even looked at the men’s collection. I believe that one coat is limited edition and that there are only 15 made available to the whole world. I did take a photo of their collection however it was blurry. How very unfortunate.

We were kindly given a nice gift which is a leather bracelet wrap that I absolutely adore since I love these type of bracelets as well as the women’s and men’s look book. Sadly I had to leave and head back to work. Thank you Jade for letting me be your plus one. Thank you Whistles for the preview. There are pieces I’m eyeing up and have time to save up. Shopping ban attempt number 2738164812 starts now.
